Youngville hosted several events this summer: Benton County Amateur Radio Club's June 13-14 broadcast from Youngville Station commemorating "96 years on the Lincoln Highway" scheduled to coincide with the 17th Annual Lincoln Highway Conference in South Bend, IN. Youngville Café was a stop on Lt. Governor Patty Judge's "Travel Iowa" promotion in July. Visit Lt. Gov. Judge's blog to see what she had to say after her visit. http://www.traveliowa.blogspot.com/

Youngville will be a Sat. Aug. 29 stop on the Iowa Lincoln Highway Assn.'s "River to River Road Run" in August. Registration and details available on the Tour Page at the ILHA site.

Youngville Cafe is open for the 2009 season through Oct. 15. The Farmer's Market opens May 29th and runs through Oct. 16th. More details on events HERE.

Youngville Cafe named to National Register of Historic Places on Feb. 1, 2007!
The National Register recognizes sites and properties of local, state and national significance. More info on the National Register of Historic Places. Youngville was recognized at the State Historical Society "Celebrate Community History Day" May 19. 2008 in Des Moines.

A replica of the original luncheon counter was built by two carpenters: Craig Roster and Matt Selken of Vinton.

Youngville Cafe was awarded a Preservation Award in May of 2003 by the Iowa Historic Preservation Alliance.
